Creative Opportunities In-Facility Arts Enrichment
Creative Opportunities Programming provides access to the arts through hands on arts workshops as well as in-facility arts performances. ArtReach is able to offer this program to both schools and community based organizations and can accommodate individuals from ages 0 to 100. For most participants in this program, this is their only exposure to the arts. Professional artists become mentors, teachers and provide positive role models for young participants who are highly impressionable and are seeking direction in their lives. Through music, dance, visual arts, storytelling, theater, poetry and creative writing, these children discover and develop personal talents, which last a lifetime.
Arts Enrichment Workshops
With matching funds, schools and community based organizations have the opportunity to create customized visual or performing arts workshops with professional teaching artists. A catalog of workshops and artists are available upon request.
In-Facility Performances
With matching funds, schools and community based organizations have the opportunity to bring performing artists and ensembles into their facilities for a live performance. This option is a great way to make performing arts more accessible to those populations unable to leave their facilities. A catalog of performances, performing artists and ensembles is available upon request.

Excelsior Creative Opportunities Program
After a successful three year partnership through past program, ArtReach has designed a special program for the girls at Excelsior Youth Center through the George W. Hopper Foundation and Arapahoe County SCFD. The Excelsior Creative Opportunities Program offers girls in Excelsior’s and Residential Treatment Programs the opportunity to experience live performances in music, theatre and dance; and gain access to sustained hands-on arts experiences with local, professional artists through a variety of arts workshops. Each workshop ends with an opportunity to participate in a performance or art exhibit for participating girls to share their projects with family and peers at the center. Girls at the Excelsior Youth Center are rarely able to leave the facility and even if they reside with family do not have the financial means or family support so necessary to provide them with access to the arts. The girls also have a number of behavioral issues that sustained hands-on activities can address most effectively. ArtReach staff works alongside Excelsior staff and counselors in providing a program that speaks to the very special needs of the girls at the Center.
